Airlines being ignorant about the public demand for social distancing

Hear again and again that if you want social distancing = middle seat free, then buy a first class ticket or more than 1 seat.
Problem is there are no socially distancing first class on domestic and next to none on airtravel within Europe. And even if you buy the full 3 seats there are no guarantees that the airline won't fill the other 2 if only you shows up for departure. And social distancing should not cost double the price or more. At the most on a normal 3+3 row seat configuration it should be 50% more.

It is this kind of naive thinking that is hindering airlines from taking potential passengers fear of CoVid19 seriously. And this fear affect halve of all thinking about flying during the pandemic. The airlines have built up so much capacity hey just can't survive on the 25% of us that don't care and will fly anyway.

At the very least airlines should offer proper social distancing, aka middle seat free, as an option. It is time for them to wake up. They have jibberjabbered enough about their AC systems now even though none of them would trust a pub with the same ac installed. Or if a public bathroom said the disinfectant they use on the toilet seat last for 24 hours.
When will they realise that a large portion of potential pasengers are price insensitive in pandemic times. That their disease safety measures matters more than an extra tenner off.

In the US airlines take these things more seriusly and they have to because of the general rampant spread there. Maybe airlines in Europe will to when the virus spread here ramps up as we get colder weather coming into autumn and winter. Then risking sitting beside someone with the smallest achoo will be even less popular.

FareAutoCalc for calculating airline seat prices for a profitable result

Helpfull for airline pricing teams, actually just one person needed now, FareAutoCalc is an Android app that helps you set prices to rech profit on all your routes.  In its simplest form you enter the costs per flight, number of seats, how many fare classes (different price levels) you would like and at what load in percent you want to break even. Then it calculates the prices for each fareclass and the number of seats in same. You can manually enter the price rise scale for how much in percent you want the fare to rise between each fare clas. Or the app can do this for you using an even step in percent scale. It also has a Cost Detail page where you can enter detailed costs. The Flyr wet leases where not the saviour but possibly what breakes it

Flyr has had extra costs over the winter to prepare for possible wet leases of halve it's fleet of 12 aircrafts. They where desperate for these as they tought the news of them would bring the share price over 1 norwegian øre (0.001 Euro) so they could get some more financing according to a desperate plan. However the deal inclided paying for preparation cost up front. Money Flyr didn't have the finances for. They should relly not have gone for any wet leasing that didn't include at least a 10% payment up front and the rest of the money for each flight paid at least 1 week before it took place. After all the charter companies customers pays it all up front. Another tell tale sign of poor management is that none of the 12 planes actually have any flights scheduled for tomorrow Tuesday 31/1-2023.
